Portable Appliance Testing and Electrical PAT Test Services

The newest addition to the portfolio of services offered by Lancall is within Portable Appliance Testing. Whatever type of Electrical PAT Test you need, Lancall can help. Our team of Portable Appliance Testing specialists provide a comprehensive and professional service to a variety of companies, schools, educational institutions, landlords, letting agents and other types of organisations.

An electrical appliance may be classed as portable if connected to the mains by way of a flexible lead and plug. Everything from TV's, PC's, office equipment, power tools, fridges, printers, and microwaves to name a few.

While there is no specific regulation that demands PAT tests be carried out, the Electricity at Work regulations 1989 impose a duty on all people in the workplace to take precautions against risk of injury or death arising out of the use of electrical equipment and it has become common practice for PAT testing to be a part of a regular maintainance and inspection routine.

What's more PAT testing can prove to be highly cost effective. Employers and Landlords can reduce their insurance premiums by adopting a regular electrical PAT testing regime.

Lancall are able to offer a wide range of Portable Appliance testing services. We use the latest electrical PAT testing equipment to test both 240V and 110V appliances and, as specialists, are best placed to help you comply with your legal obligations. All our testing is carried out in accordance with The Institute of Electrical Engineers’ (IEE) code of practice and at highly competitive rates.
